PellTech GFD-0.7 Pelletizing Mini-Complex – Technical Description The PellTech GFD-0.7 Series Pelletizing Mini-Complex is designed for processing biomass raw materials in a compact production line, integrating feeding, mixing, moisture conditioning, pelletizing, cooling, dust extraction, and pellet conveying. Depending on the selected configuration, the equipment can be used for both wood/biomass pellets and feed granules. Its compact design and integration of multiple functions into a single assembly make this equipment suitable for industrial applications where process control and adaptation to the raw material are essential. 1. Technical Specifications The pelletizing press offers a production capacity of up to 500–800 kg/h, depending on the raw material and the diameter of the die holes. In the feed granulation configuration, the production capacity reaches up to 500–1,500 kg/h, subject to the same operating conditions. The model is equipped with a 400 mm diameter flat die. Pellets can have diameters of 6, 8, or 10 mm, with an adjustable length of 15–30 mm. The main drive motor is rated at 1 × 45 kW, with soft-start operation via a soft starter. The total installed power is 55 kW. The finished pellets can reach a density of up to 1,250 kg/m³, while the bulk density of pellets stored in Big Bags can reach up to 700 kg/m³. 2. Compatible Raw Materials The PellTech GFD-0.7 can process the following raw materials: Wood sawdust, with a particle size of 3–5 mm, consisting of 70% hardwood and 30% softwood Cereal straw Cereals and grain-based materials Alfalfa Animal feed ingredients Other biomass residues Manure Other compostable agricultural waste For sawdust processing, the optional addition of 1.0–1.5% dextrin and the use of a steam generator may be considered, depending on the raw material and the required pellet quality. Each raw material has different physical properties and requires an appropriate die configuration. The rotating flat die and its hole geometry must therefore be selected according to the intended application and the characteristics of the material being processed. 3. The rollers are equipped with Timken bearings. The specified lubricant is Total Ceran XM 460. 4.
